Percussionist and music producer Sallaberry, who lives in Orlando, is launching this week the book “On the Way of the Typhoon”, now available in electronic format, by Lisbon Press. The book, which tells the story of George Martin’s Air Montserrat recording studio on the island of Montserrat, was officially released in Brazil in January 2024, in physical format, and features 60 exclusive interviews with artists such as Ian Gillan (Deep Purple ), Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson (Yes), Steve Jordan (Rolling Stones), Manu Katché (SRNG) and Omar Hakin (Dire Straits), among others. The book also contains documents, exclusive images of guitarist Andy Summers with The Police in Montserrat, 3D models of studio and stories about recording classic albums from The Police, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Dire Straits and other artists renowned. In addition, the book includes an exclusive statement by George’s wife Judy Martin, who recently died. “On the way of Typhoon”, both in the physical and ebook, has a QR Code that gives free access to the documentary recorded by Sallaberry in the studio ruins. According to Sallaberry, “the e-book version is available on the publisher’s website, as well as on Amazon, and the physical book continues to be sold at the publisher’s store for the whole world.” He also stated that “in May, the book will be released in Portugal at the Lisbon Book Fair”.
